Helping Local and State Governments, Philanthropic Organizations, and Nonprofits Develop and Implement Innovative Housing Solutions

With rents and home prices at or near record levels across much of the U.S., there is an urgent need for innovative approaches to expand the supply of housing and improve housing affordability. Whether you’re looking to more effectively utilize technologies like offsite construction, create a path to homeownership for very low-income renters, engage employers as investors in affordable homes, or more effectively draw down and leverage federal housing resources, we can help you achieve your housing goals.

Local and State Housing Strategies

We help local and state governments develop comprehensive housing strategies that coordinate policies from multiple agencies to expand the housing supply and increase housing affordability.

Housing Policy Advising

We advise program sponsors and funders on how to develop effective housing strategies to achieve their policy goals. Specialties include offsite construction, family self-sufficiency and sustainable homeownership.

Housing Policy Research

We conduct and support research designed to evaluate the effects of current and past housing policies and test and refine new policies.
